Education Today is lacking American Traditions

Education, Unions, State, Federal and Judicial Roles

Today I wanted to talk briefly about parent's roles in education and how we have gotten so far off the path to the greatest education in the world.

When I was growing up we still said the Pledge of Allegiance in school every morning, practiced memorizing the American's Creed, and sang the National Anthem almost everyday. It was during the age of the Soviet Missile threat, the Cuban Missile Crisis, Post Korean War America. We walked to local schools every morning and walked to church as well. We didn't have to lock our homes or cars, worry about crime everyday and night and the news was more uplifting. News anchor's and journalist's could spend more time doing a good job and telling you what was really important rather than just repeating themselves 60 time a day. Lots of things have changed. We used to go to school in two or three grade levels only, Kindergarten, then 1st and 2nd grades, then 3rd and 4th grades, then 5th and 6th grades all the way through 12th grade, each in their own building to keep us separated and closer to our own age groups to better connect each grade group to each other. This allowed more focused teaching and clearer minds in the learning process. It worked. It worked well enough to make my generation the ones who created the technology we us today, very well.

This was done before a Federal Education Department existed. It existed before the really big teacher's unions formed. It existed before the welfare state now known as the Great American Society. It existed when the parent teacher association was controlled by parents in local school systems not by the states or federal government. It worked because people new that a good basic education was essential to the success of the nation and it's people. It worked to create the greatest upper and middle class system in the world and helped every nation every in the world look up to us as the greatest nation in the world.

With all this talk today about making a college education free to all American's and most everyone else who isn't legally a naturalized American Citizen I have to ask myself where all of this has gone wrong.

Many colleges are brainwashing our children into believing America is a bad country, divided and faulted in every way, and doing it on our dime. These Teacher's, are wrong and have access to our kids on a daily basis, other hateful organizations also are taking advantage of your children to conduct social experiments with your college children and believe they have every right to do so. Even after they get caught doing it they are still teaching at these very same colleges.

Teacher's Unions have crippled most if not every school system into paying outrageous sums of money just to comply with new state and federal laws passed in the 35 years or so. They cannot be fired in some states even if they commit a felony offense, and most people don't know it. Teachers unions have allowed some of the worst teachers to continue to neglect, abuse directly or indirectly or otherwise cause a detrimental loss of knowledge to be passed onto our children. Principals and Administrator's can't be fired as well because they are also part of the union. The unions which are failing in the auto industry are not being observed by the teacher's union, they are next. We need to eliminate the teacher's unions and return education to the parents. We need to remove the state's and Federal government's restrictions from our children's education.

In Short, Get government out of our schools and give mine and your children the local education they deserve and for far less dollars than they currently have to spend on them. We've done this before and must do it again. Community schools controlled by parents not teachers, not state's and not the federal government. We have learned all to well that government's can't fix problems they can only subsidize them. Talk to your local elected official's and try having a discussion about education with them and you will see how large the problem is, and what their attitude about the conversation is. Watch out and don't get blind sided by nice words. Ask tough questions and expect complete answers and sentences. Don't be put off without telling them you intend to ask more questions of other elected representatives and expect action when it comes to your children's education or you'll act soundly to vote against them if they don't act as you see fit.

Church and State are separated by law but our children are not owned by the government as they would have you believe. We can teach them prayer and expect teacher's to honor our values instead of condemning our children and us with their anti religious actions. Neither should be allow judges to pass down edicts preventing us from our right to religious families being allowed to practice our religion at home and in public. They have acted with out our vote on so many matter's believing us to be to weak to rebuke them. Their time is coming when we will set the laws so that our voice's count once again, and greatly. Too many organizations are acting to violate the elections at so many levels we must ensure that we vote at every opportunity, and with loud voices tell the government what we expect them to do, not the other way around.

THE AMERICAN'S CREED
I BELIEVE IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AS A GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE; WHOSE JUST POWERS ARE DERIVED FROM THE CONSENT OF THE GOVERNED; A DEMOCRACY IN A REPUBLIC, A SOVEREIGN NATION OF MANY SOVEREIGN STATES; A PERFECT UNION, ONE AND INSEPARABLE; ESTABLISHED UPON THOSE PRINCIPLES OF FREEDOM, EQUALITY, JUSTICE, AND HUMANITY FOR WHICH AMERICAN PATRIOTS SACRIFICED THEIR LIVES AND FORTUNES.
I THEREFORE BELIEVE IT IS MY DUTY TO MY COUNTRY TO LOVE IT, TO SUPPORT ITS CONSTITUTION; TO OBEY ITS LAWS; TO RESPECT ITS FLAG; AND TO DEFEND IT AGAINST ALL ENEMIES.

The Pledge of Allegiance
I Pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America
and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God,
indivisible, with liberty and justice for all, Ah men.
